My unit in Social Studies involving family was very interesting to involve First Nations. We talked as a class about different family members and their names that are not the same as our family names but they still all love each other just the same. I told the students an oral story which we added pictures to as a class. They really absorbed this information more than I could have ever expected. We talked about some specific clothing, seasons, living conditions (historically), and family values. </span><br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: 16px;">Other Teaching Opportunities: I had the opportunity to already teach a lesson from grades Kindergarten to grade 5 and also grade 9 and helping out in the Acct room. All of these opportunities were unique and were not really my comfort zone but it was a good challenge for me. </span>
